Senior Accountant
Job Title: Senior AccountantJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to manage our accounts payable and receivable processes, support general accounting tasks, and contribute to financial reporting and audits. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in accounting and property management. Responsibilities + Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payments. + Maintain vendor records and ensure timely and accurate payments in accordance with terms. + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise. + Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements. + Prepare 1099 forms. + Collaborate with the Property Management Accounting Team to manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, and collections. + Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes. + Assist in reconciliation of customer accounts and post adjustments as needed. + Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and tax statements. + Support audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to inquiries. + Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable/receivable. + Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Essential Skills + Accounting expertise, including general ledger management and financial statement preparation. + Experience with Yardi and real estate accounting, especially month-end procedures. + Deep working knowledge of accounts payable, receivables, bank reconciliation, and expenditure control. + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. + Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. + At least one year of property management accounting experience preferred. + Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize work requests in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in Yardi, QuickBooks, and Microsoft preferred. + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. + Presents a high level of professionalism and customer service skills. Work Environment This position offers a dynamic work environment with 10-hour workdays. Employees work in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, while Mondays are remote. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
