Senior Accountant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will oversee essential accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to the efficient management of financial operations. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and other team members to maintain compliance and improve processes. If not, for immediate consideration, please apply or call Warren Knight at 484-214-2624 Responsibilities: • Manage the month-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, analyzing accounts, and reconciling balance sheets. • Generate monthly financial reports for the U.S. division, along with supporting schedules, for both internal and parent company use. • Oversee accounts receivable activities, including processing customer invoices, addressing inquiries, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding balances. • Maintain fixed asset and patent records using accounting software to ensure proper tracking and compliance. • File state sales tax returns accurately and on time to meet regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to provide additional support on projects and assignments as needed. • Ensure the general ledger is properly maintained and updated with accurate financial data. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in account reconciliations and other financial records. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entry preparation. • Expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and formula creation. • Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
