This is a newly created role due to expansion and increased financial complexity across their operations, which span live events, media content, and digital platforms. Key Responsibilities
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Partner with FP& A and operational teams to ensure precise revenue recognition and cost allocation.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable standards.
• Support external audit processes and uphold strong internal control practices.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights that drive strategic decisions.
• Lead initiatives to enhance accounting workflows and optimize system functionalities.
• Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Collaborate on process improvements to streamline financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting staff as needed.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience; background in public accounting or the entertainment industry is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and modeling.
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and create actionable insights.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
