Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting
Description .An established and growing Oil & Gas company in Houston is seeking a highly motivated Senior SEC Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative group of professionals and gain exposure to complex SEC reporting in a dynamic industry environment. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other disclosures + Assist with preparation of footnotes, MD& A, and financial statement tie-outs + Work closely with auditors and cross-functional teams during quarterly and annual filings + Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements (U.S. GAAP & SEC regulations) + Support internal controls compliance and SOX documentation + Contribute to special projects and process improvements within the corporate accounting function Requirements SEC Accountant Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required + CPA designation is required + 2–3+ years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public and industry experience + Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements + Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills + Experience in Oil & Gas is a plus but not required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
