With over 650 employees, the Lear headquarters in Oberding-Schwaig is the centre of excellence for automotive seat development in Europe. As a member of the TCS program and sales team, the senior account manager VW Group will act as the commercial account owner for all Lear TCS/IGB products with OEM and linked brands in European market.
Summary of Position
The senior account manager VW Group is responsible for business and relationship development between the assigned OEM(s) in Europe and Lear TCS/IGB. The primary goal of the position is to grow Lear TCS’s role, revenue and profit with the OEM(s) in Europe. The senior account manager VW Group takes full ownership for all aspects of the business with this OEM(s) and represents ‘the face to the customer’.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
“Main contact” for all OEM(s) business in Europe. Responsible for all commercial aspects of the account including revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer relationships. Develops and implements an account strategy to meet internal financial commitments as well as securing new revenue opportunities with the OEM(s) in Europe. Building of financial plans and long-range revenue plans. Build/develop relationships with key customer purchasing and engineering leaders. Extend network with OEM(s) in Europe through all relevant organization levels. Strengthen relationships by regular meetings with these OEM(s). Create a strategy proposal for the coming year based on assigned OEM(s) in Europe with Sales Manager VW. Create and use documentation to control aspects of the business necessary for transparency and structure when managing the assigned OEM(s) sales account. Manage the complete RFQ phase following Lear processes. Set up with team all commercial documentation as quotations, advanced project reviews and cost break downs following LPMP/ProFile/LearPro processes. Overview and control of economy (budget, turnover, contribution, etc) of the business. Initiate marketing activities aimed at improving Lear TCS’s position on the market. Develop new business with customers for new products Develops, actively supports, and communicates detailed project plans and schedules Develops and manages a set scope of work within one or more projects through setting effective expectations, communication, change management control, budget control andmanagement, issue escalation and resolution, and overall business understanding of the
project needs
Oversees budget, project spend, forecasting, client invoicing, spent and estimated efforts in hrs and other financials Maintains project data in resourcing, financial, and data management systems as required Project progress reporting and Gateway Reviews
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field. At least 4-5 years commercial or program experience in the automotive industry (VW Group or related brands). Understanding of cost drivers, financial business case analysis, and budgeting. Demonstrated ability to meet financial targets in a time-sensitive manner. Strategic thinker - simplifies strategy into specific actions, makes decisions and communicates priorities. Motivates team members and peers with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Build/develop relationships with key customer contacts. Fluent in German and English Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with numbers Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, presentation). Strong negotiator and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under aggressive deadlines Experience with Volkswagen Group and/or related brands would be a strong benefit Hands-on, team player with the ability to perform successfully in a dynamic, demanding environment Ability to make quick decisions based on a combination of experience as well as advice from other people.
