The Senior Account Manager provides strategic leadership for researching, developing, and securing educational grants that support projects across the Education Service Line. This role develops and executes business development strategies to grow engagement with both internal (Cleveland Clinic) and external partners, while providing tactical direction for all fundraising activities tied to departmental initiatives. Leveraging a strong understanding of the medical and education marketplace, the Senior Account Manager aligns funding opportunities with organizational needs, drives sustainable program growth, and serves as a mentor and coach to support the development of team members within the department.
This is a remote position. A caregiver in this role will work 8:00am to 4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Manage the overall responsibility of researching, developing and securing of grants for projects.Develop and implement Business Development strategic plan to grow business with internal (CCF) and external clients.Responsible for providing tactical leadership and direction to fundraising aspects of projects.Train staff in grant procedures and guidelines to secure funding for projects.Develop procedural guidelines to support business development strategies.Implement operational tools to support tracking/evaluating fundraising campaigns.Develop and implement strategic plan to expand business.Research educational needs and develop revenue generating opportunities.Be responsible for acquiring business through the introduction of services to multiple healthcare decision-makers.Develop and maintain business relationships.Attend Association meetings to network in all disease areas.Develop presentations to support business development.Perform capability presentations to potential commercial support entities (e.g., medical affairs, marketing managers).Meet with CCF staff to determine areas of interest and funding sources.Conduct independent research regarding new treatments, indications and disease states. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on healthcare trends and accreditation.Attend industry-related conferences, visits exhibitors and schedules meetings with potential grantors.Develop Fundraising Campaigns/Marketing Strategies for projects in conjunction with Activity Directors/Project Managers.Develop project proposals appropriate for intended audience, educational needs and adheres to applicable regulatory requirements. In conjunction with Project Managers, develop project budgets to accompany project proposals.Ensure fundraising campaign is accounted for in both the project budget and project plan.Design and evaluate fundraising campaigns to ensure its effectiveness.In conjunction with the activity directors and project managers, research and secure educational grants.Utilize online grant submittal process.Secure appropriate grants as designated by each project's revenue goal within a specific time frame.Follow up with potential clients via e-mail correspondences and phone calls.Evaluate educational grant status.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration or equivalent work experience in related fieldWithin scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervisionMinimum of 5 years of sales experienceKnowledge of personal computers and software (Microsoft Office and Internet)Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
