Senior Account Executive, Financial Institutions
Senior Account Executive, Financial Institutions Are you client focused? An innovative thinker and problem solver? Do you have financial institutions experience? What the day will look like + Delivering continuous excellence in servicing and growing an existing book; + Identifying specific client and prospect needs and developing innovative and cost effective solutions; + Reviewing, revising and building insurance programs with the clients’ risk profile and insurance objectives in mind; + Coordinating / providing oversight to the account team and establish client service plans that prioritize the account activities and profitability in a value-based approach for the scope of services required; + Coordinating / leading strategy for the account renewal/portfolio renewal and the ongoing requirements during the year, working with the broking team in the marketing process and the negotiations with underwriters; + Leading and overseeing the 120 day Renewal Process including preparing the renewal report, presenting to client for approval, obtaining the binding order, and reviewing policy documentation and delivering to client in a timely manner; + Assisting in the review of claims and managing the client issues around claims handling; + Developing and managing the key relationships to become the client’s risk management advisor; + Cross-selling and expanding existing insurance programs with our clients; developing and managing client relationships in order to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities; + Focus on new business production + Assist in the development of annual sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities; + Developing new contacts and build relationships with prospects that align with the Region’s/Branch’s acknowledged targeted industry or segment groups; + Providing the leadership necessary for development and delivery of insurance and industry related presentations/seminars prospects and clients as required; + Acting as the visible face of Aon to the clients/prospects in the community, working to consistently prospect and facilitating lead generation activities; and + Ability to lead and mentor junior members of the team; and + Performing other related duties as assigned. How this opportunity is different This role will be part of the FI Canada team managing our Financial Institutions portfolio of clients and will give you an opportunity to work with our clients’ senior leaders in the development and management of their Corporate Insurance Programs. Aside from standard client management and risk assessment, there will be opportunity to take on presentations and education opportunities for our clients and colleagues (including content creation). This role will report into the Western Canada FI Leaderwill support collaborative program and portfolio growth in addition to other FI opportunities. Skills and experience that will lead to success + Five (5) to seven (7) years of commercial insurance experience required; + Fundamental insurance background and knowledge a must; + Experience with Financial Institution insurance products is desired but not a requirement; + Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written + Previous experience managing clients with a focus on client engagement, education and relationship building skills; + Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision; + Ability to mentor more junior team members; + Demonstrated success in a current or previous production focused role; + Strong understanding of financial lines; property and casualty experience is an asset; + Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize completing requirements and deadlines under pressure.
