Description

This is a full time day shift Senior Pharmacist position located in Plainfield, IN at IU Health's Integrated Service Center. This position will partner with internal and external pharmacy stakeholders to identify and communicate 340B performance and potential. It will be responsible for assessing opportunities, planning implementations and evaluating performance of new program initiatives. This position will also aid in the provision of a compliant 340B program to meet IU Health's patient access and financial support goals. 

Apexus Advanced Operations Certificates (340B ACE Certification) is required within 12 months of hire. 

This position exists to provide comprehensive, value based, medication-related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Key job duties may consist of ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the medication use process, processing and dispensing medications per order or prescription, medication therapy monitoring, regulatory compliance, maintaining oversight over pharmacist extenders, maintaining the security of medications, and protecting the confidentiality of patient information. In addition, displays mastery when providing drug information support for healthcare personnel, ensuring continuity of care, and anticipating potential issues in common and less common situations. The incumbent regularly collects and analyzes data for process improvement projects, aids in the training of new team members, regularly serves as a resource for colleagues, and interacts with healthcare professionals on drug utilization and cost containment.

• Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist
• Certification is required, if applicable. (e.g. BCPS)
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 pharmacy residency may be required.
• Preferred >10 years experience.
