Job Purpose:

This hands-on, highly collaborative position is responsible for the daily management and implementation of our enterprise event strategy. This role is both strategic and tactical, serving as the overall event lead who partners with multiple cross-functional teams through the identification, planning and execution of events. This role serves as a liaison between sales, marketing strategy, sales enablement, marketing ops, creative and media. The role will help the organization mature our events capability.

Job Responsibilities:

Leads annual event planning – gathering input from a cross-functional team to develop an annual events calendar to ensure alignment and visibility to all event-related activity.Leads development of the annual enterprise speaker bureau strategy – collaborating with across the enterprise to place speakers as necessaryNegotiates and secures event and event-specific sponsorship contracts; processes invoicesServes as the accountable event lead for select eventsBuild, nurture and maintain strong and effective relationships with a variety of business partners and marketing team members through regular, proactive communicationIn partnership with a cross-functional team, contributes to idea generation, marketing plan development, aligns timelines and resources with events and event marketing needsIdentify the best, most appropriate event to achieve the defined business objectives in partnership with marketing strategists and integrated media leadsPartners with marketing strategy and others to ensure that event content aligns to the enterprise content strategy and organizational narrative(s)Lead a cross-functional team in creation of the event experience, owning the run of show and over-arching project plan to ensure successful delivery of the event.Partners with sales, marketing and analytics to identify measures, tracking and ROI calculationBased on analysis, leads recommendation development for the distribution of event across acquisition, retention and revenue producing opportunities.Determines the best way to leverage reoccurring / annual events in partnership within broader marketing strategistsUses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve customer experiences and sales funnel acceleration leveraging events.Stays current and advises team of best practices for in-person, hybrid and virtual event activities

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Master’s preferred.Five more years of business, financial services or insurance industry event experience preferred.Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or related industry designation preferred but not required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Extremely organized with great attention to detail and holds deep value and respect for operational excellenceExperience with analyzing collected data, creating action plans, and implementing process changesAbility to successfully navigate and excel in a highly matrixed environmentUnderstands the role events play as part of broader integrated marketing plans to deliver business resultsWorks effectively in time sensitive environmentMotivated by achieving and exceeding desired business resultsDemonstrated ability in the following:Event experience and meeting designChange managementContent and Learning StrategyCreativityCritical ThinkingNeeds AnalysisResilient problem SolvingAbility to travel up to 20% of the timePrior event management and leadership experience.Experience working in a regulated industry preferred

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$91,300.00 - $136,900.00
