**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled senior characterization engineer to lead our silicon carbide power semiconductor characterization team. This role provides technical leadership in characterization engineering and plays a critical role in the development of innovative high-voltage (>1kV) SiC power MOSFET devices. The position also carries responsibility for scaling laboratory capabilities in alignment with the company’s strategic growth objectives. Our SiC devices are used in automotive electronics, with development timelines driven by the demanding schedules of customers. Work is performed within a simultaneous engineering (SE) team focused on delivering highly energy-efficient components for battery-based and fuel cell-based drive systems.
Leveraging expertise in high-performance SiC power semiconductor devices, this role performs characterization measurements, prepares test reports, and presents results within the simultaneous engineering (SE) team. The position also holds responsibility for the overall correctness and accuracy of laboratory measurements, as well as for improving the efficiency of lab-related processes.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee strategic procurement, proactive maintenance, and maximized utilization of all laboratory equipment and resources, while implementing and upholding best practices.
+ Alignment of scaling strategy of the lab to the overall Bosch SiC strategy.
+ Driving the lab efficiency including the release of new measurement equipment according to Bosch requirements for the automotive market.
+ Ensure safe working environment for lab personnel.
+ Characterization measurements (I–V characteristics, double pulse test, short circuit etc.) of silicon carbide power MOSFETs.
+ Ownership for accuracy and tolerance of deliverables and compliance to specifications and quality objectives
+ Planning and execution of HV lab activities as part of an international team.
+ Close coordination with the project manager and application expert in the product areas to consider costs, deadlines and quality, and to assess project risks regarding technical feasibility, effort of change requests.
+ Assessment and selection of the appropriate measurement technique.
+ Participation in project reviews to present technical content.
**Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, physics, or the equivalent in education and related work experience.
+ Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in the field of semiconductor device testing.
+ Understanding of team dynamics and team lead responsibilities.
+ Sound knowledge of power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs) as well as characterization methods and measurement techniques thereof.
+ Experience using common lab equipment (Oscilloscope, probes, power supplies etc.) and software (MATLAB, LabVIEW etc.).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Communicative team player with entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work across international departments.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of power semiconductor manufacturing processes.
+ Knowledge of PCB design or Altium Designer.
+ Ability to travel (including internationally).
+ Knowledge of German language is a plus.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$135,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process
