Segment Safety Manager
Job Description Our client, a global distributor of parts and accessories for outdoor power equipment, automotive & heavy-duty trucks, and power sports is looking for a Segment Safety Manager to oversee their Boise, ID, Midlothian, TX, Midway, GA, & Savannah, GA locations . This person will be responsible for assisting in conducting inspections, accident root cause analysis & documentation, facilitate training, and help define the safety culture of the building. Enforcing OSHA and warehouse rules and regulations is main priority of this position. They're looking for someone who can come to safety team meetings with ideas on how to improve and solutions on how to solve safety issues. This person should have the ability to communicate safety concerns to the leadership team but also to the 150-200 employees on the floor. This role will report into the Director of Operations and will collaborate with the North American Enterprise Safety Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Supervisors. Enforcing OSHA and warehouse rules and regulations is main priority of this position. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of safety experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment. - Experience managing multiple sites. - Demonstrated strong knowledge of OSHA VPP, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and related federal/state safety and other health regulations along with compliance with DOT, EPA, OSHA, regulations as they relate to distribution/manufacturing. - 50% travel domestically
