Seedcare Specialist

Please note: The territory for this position will support Illinois and Wisconsin. Optional support locations are in the Bloomington, Rockford, Quad Cities areas.

To support this challenge, Syngenta’s Commercial team is currently seeking a Seedcare Specialist to support its Illinois / Wisconsin territory.

As a Seedcare Specialist, you will serve as the Seedcare expert and champion within the local Crop Protection and Seeds teams. In this role, you will create demand for Syngenta Seedcare products in accordance with annual sales budgets and marketing plans while cultivating and maintaining relationships with treaters in your assigned territory. You will provide sales and application support for Seedcare products and manage relationships with a network of seed dealers. Additionally, you will work closely with Crop Protection Sales teams to provide Seedcare support to their retail customers.

Accountabilities:

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize sales and ensure proper use of Seedcare products in the designated geography. Internal stakeholders include Crop Protection Retail Representatives, Agronomic Service Representatives, AgriEdge Specialists, the Seedcare Institute, Seedcare Key Account Managers, Product Marketing, and Seeds Sales Representatives. External stakeholders include retailers, seed dealers, treaters, channel partners, and distributors.Deliver expertise to sales teams and customers in all aspects of seed treatment technology, including troubleshooting, equipment recommendations and setup, personnel training, and product stewardship.Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with industry personnel, including Distributor Representatives, Seed Sales Representatives, and Seed Treatment Equipment Sales Representatives, to advance Syngenta Seedcare's interests and technology.Provide input, feedback, and analysis on marketing programs, market intelligence, product development needs, and product support to the commercial and product marketing teams.Keep customers informed with the most up-to-date information regarding registered Syngenta Seedcare products, including emerging products and equipment that could benefit their business.Develop the commercial market for Syngenta Seedcare products through field demonstrations of new products to internal and external customers.Work with the Seedcare Institute and its staff to provide location-specific application assistance that focuses on accuracy and efficiency, enhancing the value proposition of Syngenta Seedcare products for customers.

Qualifications

Required:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an agriculture related and/or business degree.A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, i.e., agronomy, farm, or retail management.Experience with seed treatment, crop protection products and/or the seed industry.Up to 70% of same-day travel within assigned territory, with occasional overnight travel outside designated territory is required.Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship support from Syngenta.

Preferred:

Knowledge of agronomy, pests, agricultural trends, and agricultural equipment, including the requirements for pest control and Seedcare technology.Understanding of seed and crop protection industries, including customers, distributors, markets, and structure.Proficiency in effectively managing product inquiries by conducting thorough investigations and documentation resulting in customer satisfaction.Familiarity of competitors and competitive products and activities.Ability to identify trends early in the Seedcare business/agricultural sector and identify new opportunities for Syngenta Seedcare products.
