Various (United States of America)Job Summary:\rThe Security Visitor Management Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. This position operates at one level under the Security Officer and requires a proactive approach to security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various situations with professionalism. They will be responsible for a fixed post or patrolling an assigned area to preserve peace and order, to provide excellent customer service, protect persons and property, and perform duties relating to the welfare and safety of the employees, patients, visitors, and property of WellStar Health System.\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rProvide excellent customer service\rGreet and screen every visitor Ask for identification (ID) of each visitor & to state their reason for being there\rObtain the ID and scan into the system\rGenerate the temporary ID badge and explain that by policy, it must worn at all times inside the hospital. Also, inform the visitors that when they leave, they should check out and relinquish their temporary IDs.\rAssist when team members accompany visitors without badges back to the entrance to complete proper check-in.\rThe primary point of contact as visitor management. Ensures all visitors are appropriately checked in per policy and procedure.\rProvide a visible deterrence to crime, prohibited activities, or suspicious activities in public and non-public areas.\rMaintain a positive working relationship with facility staff members.\rMaintain a thorough knowledge of a facility and where applicable of multiple facilities.\rCommunicate effectively with diverse people including clients or their representatives, client employees, visitors, or client vendors.\rWrite accurate, clear, and legible reports.\rAttend monthly staff meetings and in-service classes related to the Security Department.\rEnforce the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Wellstar Health System\rProvide assistance to employees, patients, and visitors.\rDocument observations, hazards, and incidents for follow-up corrective action.\rTake immediate corrective action against hazards and conditions which may cause injury or damage.\rReport any unsafe conditions and actions taken to the supervisor\rSafety/ Emergency responsibility & response\rAssist with emergency response as directed by supervisor.\rRespond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations\rEscort persons and assist facility personnel.\rBe vigilant and alert for activities, which could result in injury to a person or damage to or loss of property.\rPerforms other duties as assigned\rComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.\rRequired Minimum Education:High School Diploma Other or GED Other\rRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):\rAll certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.\rAdditional License(s) and Certification(s):\rRequired Minimum Experience:\rLess than 1 year private safety/security, military, or law enforcement experience Preferred\rRequired Minimum Skills:Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
