We have an exciting opportunity for a Security & Visitor Experience Officer at our Johnston, IA campus.
This role supports Corteva Agriscience’s commitment to safety and hospitality by ensuring a secure environment and delivering excellent customer service to staff and visitors. The officer protects facilities, manages access control systems, and supports Conference Services and security operations, including monitoring from the control center.

This role will be onsite at the Corteva location.
What You’ll Do:
Monitor and respond to potential security risks; coordinate with law enforcement as needed.Operate and maintain security systems (e.g., Genetec, SPLAN).Issue staff access cards and visitor badges; ensure accurate documentation and monitoring.Greet and orient visitors at the Johnston, Iowa Carver Center and remote buildings.Conduct facility walkthroughs and monitor campus via security cameras.Support emergency response efforts and report maintenance needs.Provide safety escorts, monitor parking lots, and check for unauthorized access.Answer calls, assist with deliveries, and resolve front desk inquiries. (Primarily desk-based role with occasional campus patrols, with minimal travel.)Education:
High School Diploma or GED.1+ years’ experience in security, law enforcement, access control or similar field.What Skills You Need:
Experience with access control and visitor systems.Relevant certifications or coursework in security or law enforcement.Strong communication and customer service skills.You possess a valid U.S. driver’s license: ability to lift 50 lbs. and navigate stairs.Willingness to complete required training and work flexible hours (primarily 7:30 AM–4:30 PM CST). Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and potentially hazardous situations, demonstrating sound judgment and calm decision-making under pressure.Ability to contribute to daily operational decisions within established guidelines and procedures.What Makes You Stand Out:
