Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Systems Programming Technician. The Security Systems Technician is responsible for performing skilled security technician work in the service/repair, alteration, installation, and maintenance of all security related systems for a high profile customer; resolving immediate operational and /or safety concerns and maintaining a preventive maintenance program. The diverse nature of this position requires a high degree of technical knowledge. Additionally, the ability to evaluate data from multiple systems that are to be supported by the incumbent is critical in order to be able to provide management with effective solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitation of Security Service and equipment repair for all North America sitesTier 2 technical support of the Security Access Control SystemsNorth America Security Systems installation and maintenance technical supportProject programmer for new and ongoing security application projectsSupport for North America-Security related applicationsDevelop collaborative relationships with peers and department colleagues to foster alignment, improve understanding, speed of delivery and productivityInteract with end users to provide software and hardware supportInteract with vendors to assist with project hardware and software testingEvaluate and monitor security equipment to ensure all systems and hardware are operational and preventative maintenance is performedMonitor expenses as needed and within limitsFoster positive working relationships with departments responsible for monitoring repair and installation workSupport and education of Tier 1 technical support staff on their dutiesQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field of studyMinimum of five (5) years of experience in security systems management program deliveryExperience delivering in a challenging, fast-paced corporate environment, preferably for a large, multinational corporationExperience working with the following security system technologies:Honeywell ProWatchIntellexAccess SentryExacqVisionImmix SureviewWeb Development ToolsTechnical knowledge of key business tools; ability to analyze complex problems, generate multi-dimensional solutions; strong knowledge of security, political and law enforcement issues that directly affect or impact people, information, and productsExcellent written and oral communication skills; ability to interact with senior management effectivelyOrganizational ability and time management skillsAnalytical and strategic thinking skills necessary to troubleshoot escalated issues and their closure with a minimum down timeAbility to successfully work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company; deep understanding of how their area of responsibility relates to other areas and the business overallStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise and coordinate security vendor activitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
