This person will respond to guest and employee emergencies, complete incident reports and supervise the security staff. This person will lead and respond with care while creating and maintaining an environment that makes our guests and colleagues feel safe and secure. This person must have exceptional communication skills as well as strong guest service orientation. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Supervise and schedule the security team, including officers, patrol staff, and access control personnel—ensure staffing coverage across all shifts including nights, weekends and major events. + Conduct regular patrols of the property (public areas, back-of-house, loading docks, parking garage, event/convention spaces) to identify security risks, safety hazards, or policy violations. + Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents (physical safety, theft, disturbance, fire alarm, medical emergency) and investigate reports, prepare incident reports, escalate as needed, and recommend corrective action. + Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws, and Hyatt brand security standards. Maintain records of incidents, access logs and ensure audit readiness. + Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire department, and first responder agencies when needed; serve as hotel liaison in investigations or major incident responses. + Oversee and enforce key control, CCTV/surveillance systems, electronic access systems, and panic/duress alarms.
