The Opportunity:

As a Security Specialist you will have the opportunity to support the Security Manager at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, by providing expert guidance in the implementation of security policies and procedures for U.S. Forces Korea. This role involves reviewing and approving physical security documentation, conducting site surveys and physical security accreditations, and ensuring compliance with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) and USFK security regulations. The Security Specialist will also provide guidance on the issuance, control, education, and application of the Security Classification Guide for all classified items or systems and will be responsible for determining access eligibility in accordance with the Security Clearance and Access Nominations Process. The position requires conducting security briefings and supporting the overall security posture of the organization. This position is located in Camp Humphreys, South Korea.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Security Manager in interpreting and implementing security policies and directives in accordance with DoD, USFK, and client requirements.

Review and approve physical security documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Conduct site surveys and physical security accreditations for facilities handling classified information and systems.

Provide guidance and oversight for the issuance, control, and accountability of classified materials, ensuring adherence to the Security Classification Guide.

Educate personnel on security protocols, classification guidelines, and proper handling of classified information.

Make access eligibility determinations in accordance with the Security Clearance and Access Nominations Process; coordinate with appropriate authorities for clearance processing and adjudication.

Conduct initial, refresher, and termination security briefings for personnel with access to classified information.

Support incident response and reporting requirements related to security violations or concerns.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving security requirements and best practices.

Liaise with USFK, DoD, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and compliant security operations.


Qualifications:
Required: 

Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in security management, criminal justice, or related field.

3+ years of experience in security operations, preferably supporting DoD or U.S. government clients.

In-depth knowledge of DoD and USFK security policies, procedures, and regulations.

Experience with physical security surveys, accreditations, and documentation review.

Strong understanding of the Security Classification Guide and classified material control.

Demonstrated ability to conduct security briefings and provide security education.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in an overseas environment.


Desired:

Experience working in a military environment or with U.S. Forces Korea.

Familiarity with security clearance adjudication and access nomination processes.

Prior experience supporting security operations at overseas military installations.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$73,800-$155,100
