Job DescriptionAllied Universal® is hiring a Solutions Architect. The Solutions Architect supports the achievement of sales goals through direct pre-sales support providing high quality, innovative, cost-effective technical solutions that meet or exceed our customer’s needs in a professional manner. The Solutions Architect will mentor junior Architects within the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as mentor and technical advisor to Solution Architect team, day to day management and resource assignments for a small teamDevelop technical solutions that map customer business requirements to security technology solutionsGeneration of technical scopes of work (SOW) and detailed design narratives for technical solutions and associated cost estimatesManage estimation process to include interfacing with multiple representatives of sales, management, and customer teamsAnalyze blueprints, construction drawings, and technical/functional design specifications to prepare compliant solutionsResearch emerging technologies in support of security integration solutionsInterface with product and distribution partners to obtain systems, device, and equipment pricing during estimating processSupport Sales Team by participating in technical discussions and meetings with customers and/or product partners, to include ROI (Return on Investment) conversations and presentationsUnderstanding construction divisions, as they relate to Electronics -Safety and Security for RFP responsesMaintain quality assurance by following organization and department standards
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalentOne or more of the following industry technology certifications:Physical Security Professional (PSP)Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Product specific certification in Access Control and Video platformsLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentMust possess one or more of the following:Minimum of five (5) years of experience with integrated electronic security solutionsMinimum of three (3) years of experience in a pre-sales support/engineering positionWorking knowledge of network Infrastructure Including switches, routers, IP configurationKnowledge of advanced Video analyticsKnowledge of Software as a Service (SAAS) and Cloud based security solutionsAbility to work in a dynamic environment; capable of managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlinesExcellent oral and written and communication skills internally and with stakeholdersAbility to maintain proprietary information with high level of discretionProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word)Ability to travel (20%-30%) on an as needed basisSkilled in utilizing a PDF editing software, creation tools such as Bluebeam for device plotting, and team collaborationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
Project Management (PMP) certificationCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certificationCollege degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related majorSupervisory experienceBENEFITS:
Pay and Benefits: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, 2.5% quarterly bonusMedical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEnrollment in our company’s 401 (k) or Supplemental Income Plan, subject to eligibility requirementsEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
