SECURITY SHIFT SUPERVISOR

PAY RATE: $20.50

FULL TIME

Allied Universal® is hiring a Shift Supervisor. The general purpose and function of the Shift Supervisor encompasses the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a single shift at an Allied Universal®. client’s site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers assigned to their shiftConduct shift roll calls and regular site visits; document officer knowledge and performance, addressing concerns as neededEnsure officers maintain a professional appearance, including proper hygiene and uniform complianceVerify that Post Order manuals and other training materials are updated and readily accessibleProvide on-the-job training to new security officers as needed, reviewing responsibilities, emergency protocols, and client-specific requirementsHandle and report on any shift call-offs from security officers; assist in finding post coverage, being mindful of reducing overtime as much as possibleStand post in the event of a call-off or emergency situations; this also includes being held over past regular shift due to call offs or emergency situationsInitiate investigations and gather information related to incidents that occur (including use of force incidents)Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.Respond to client requestsDistribute equipment, company updates, policy changes, and required documents to officers and assist in retrieving signed documents for the branch officeMake emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post OrdersProvide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their dutiesMake productivity and cost reduction recommendations to managementMake recommendations for physical security surveys and post ordersMake recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnelComplete daily activity reports, vehicle maintenance reports, and supervisor pass downs as needed

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalentLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentCurrent driver’s license if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicleMust possess one or more of the following:Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National GuardService in Auxiliary Police or Police CadetsMinimum of one year verifiable and successful security experienceAssociate's degree or higher in any disciplineBe at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the stateAble to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitorsEffective oral and written communication skills; ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public write informatively, clearly, and accuratelyProblem solving skills; Attention to detailActive listening skills; mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy; ability to encourage teamworkAssess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAble to compile, sort, and interpret data; research, investigate, compile information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat ZonePrior civilian or military K9 handler experienceCompletion of a full military handler courseBachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studiesA minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
