As a Security Professional - Access Control Desk in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and control entry points at a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter unauthorized access and responding to security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining clear communication. Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring ingress and egress points in compliance with site-specific protocols.Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with inquiries related to access procedures and site navigation.Follow site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines for addressing security-related situations and responding to emergencies when appropriate.Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms and report any unusual activities or incidents to the appropriate personnel.Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and to observe for hazards or suspicious activities.Prepare and submit detailed incident reports as required, documenting any security-related issues encountered during the shift.Collaborate with site management and emergency response personnel as needed to support access control and security-related operations at the chemical and petrochemical facility.Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.Must be at least 21 years of age.Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
