Position in the Organization Chart: Reports to the Country Security Officer Job Dimension

Job Dimension Rotational position (5/5 roster) based in Port Moresby Possible missions within country (Lae, Site and other regional destinations as required) Direct Hierarchy of Security Coordinator  HSE and Personnel Statement – At all times the Job Holder will: Ensure that the company rules, regulations and standards are always considered in every activity, task performed by personnel directly or indirectly employed by the company within its perimeter. Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes In undertaking this role, the job holder will: Proactively carry out the activities of the job Perform regular HSE meeting with contractors Be responsible for achievement of agreed objectives and corrective actions defined into contractor audit plan Adapt to changes in work practices and job activities Act in the best interest of the affiliate at all times Seek out learning opportunities and transfer new skills and knowledge to the job, mentoring and developing his direct reports and team members Always Adhere to the values and principles of the Company Code of Conduct Willingly and openly share good practice  Activities Provide support and advise the Security Manager for all security matters. Develop and implement security improvement programs; to include detailed work and budget plans, procedures, training and assessment tools to enhance security at all areas of the company activities. Provide security support to all E&P and TEMS activities, including service stations, residential, outlying operations and Fleet security. Mentor, train, assess and develop all security personnel attached to downstream activities Maintain timely communications with Senior Management of incidents or developments that may result in personal injuries, interference with operations or that may cause property loss Provide recommendations to Security Manager to protect company's personnel and its assets, to minimize exposure to security or other related risks Identify security technical solutions to reduce ongoing operational costs and improve security and operational efficiencies Establish information networks essential to Security Operations Maintain and develop an intelligence network to populate a security data base Conduct investigations and provide guidance in areas of investigations relating to theft, fraud, security breaches or other security related incidents Provide security briefings, inductions and training as required. Build relationships and participate with community entities, peer companies, mining industry working groups and mining contractor security professionals Conduct Police liaison activities (as required) Direct security related activities during emergency situations by staying apprised of emergency response systems, monitoring emergency activities and supervising personnel Implement, manage, oversee and review the application of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR) programs to ensure personnel, Contractors, Government security forces and visitors are aligned and comply Provide guidance and support to other department’s personnel, contractor personnel and visitors, being a conduit for other departments to ensure open and timely communications Performs regular Service Quality Meeting (SQM) with contractors Act as Team Commander during any security related crisis as per the Emergency Response Plan Provides Security oversight and advice for all TEP PNG personnel when Country Security Officer is out of country Reporting: Prepares weekly reports and any other ad-hoc reports when requested by the Country Security Officer. Develop and keep up to date Security Management documentation. Conduct Security Risk Assessments as required.  Accountabilities The purpose of the Security Operations Advisor position is to provide complete security professional coverage across the functions defined in this job description and to support the affiliate Security Manager/CSO.  Required Qualifications / Experience  Tertiary qualification in security and risk management Experience: Security experience in the extractive industries (Oil & Gas, mining) Minimum 10 years’ experience in security, law enforcement or military operations Minimum 5 years Supervision experience in security operations with multi facet teams in resource or industrial sectors Possess strong influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with management, team members, peers, police and other external agencies Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time Conduct studies and collect data to detect sources of loss and risks Organize and interpret field data and identify necessary corrections Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative and narrative reports Maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the security risks, crimes and incidents Managed Security operations during major construction and development projects Application Process:
