As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Team in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and store teams with friendly customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, support access control and alarm response as needed, and communicate clearly with leadership. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, loading or receiving areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; assist with access control, crowd flow, and de-escalation of disturbances using a calm, problem-solving approach.Respond to incidents and critical situations, including alarms, suspicious behavior, medical events, and property damage, and coordinate with site management and public emergency services when needed.Complete required reports and logs, communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts, and support security-related investigations through detailed documentation and preservation of information.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.Access control and badge experience is preferred.A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
