As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will complete routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge verification, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and document observations with attention to detail. Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or facility alarms, and communicate updates to site leadership as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow by observing for authorized entry, reporting suspicious behavior, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incident response, and/or policy violations, including documenting observations and actions taken.Perform routine rounds to verify doors, gates, and controlled areas are secured per site procedures and report issues for follow-up.Provide assistance during emergency events such as evacuations, severe weather, and/or lockdown procedures by following post orders and coordinating with emergency responders.Use communication equipment and/or facility systems to relay information, request assistance, and coordinate responses with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.Support a respectful, service-oriented presence by answering questions, offering directions, and assisting with wayfinding throughout the facility as assigned.Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.Be at least 21 years of age.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
