**Responsibilities**
+ **Champion Safety and Security:** Provide comprehensive security services that ensure a safe, calm, and secure environment for all staff, visitors, and patients across the campus.
+ **Be a Proactive Responder:** Conduct continuous monitoring and perform timely, professional responses to any potential or actual security threats and breaches.
+ **Investigate and Document:** Efficiently investigate, thoroughly document, and manage all security-related incidents, hazards, and situations with high attention to detail.
+ **Navigate Campus Operations:** Participate in foot and vehicle patrols, manage traffic flow, and enforce parking regulations, acting as a resource to guide and assist those on our campus.
+ **Maintain Readiness:** Uphold expert knowledge of all security, alarm, and emergency preparedness policies and procedures, potentially facilitating planned drills and staff training on safety and emergency management.
+ **Be a Trusted Resource:** Provide safety-related information and assistance to both staff and visitors, serving as a helpful and knowledgeable point of contact on security matters.
+ **Operational Excellence:** Report potential safety issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel and, when operating a company vehicle, drive responsibly to maintain safety standards.
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
**Additional Preferences**
+ Active State of Florida Driver's License (Valid and in good standing)
+ Active State of Florida "D" Unarmed Security Officer License
+ Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive incident and shift reports.
+ Prior experience in a Behavioral Health or health-care security setting is highly valued.
+ Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
+ A strong track record in customer service, interacting positively with patients, visitors, and staff.
