As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor activity to support a professional, security-related presence. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and provide clear customer service and communication with team members and visitors. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery or pickup documentation, and directing traffic flow for pedestrians and vehicles.Maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, trailer and vehicle movements, and key events using site-required systems and/or written documentation.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the established chain of communication.Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as gates, yards, docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Customer service experience is preferred.X-Ray screening experience is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Loss prevention experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
