Security Officer - Rover (Weekend Graveyard Shift)

About the Role• Serve as a roving security presence, rotating across assigned posts and responding to evolving operational needs across the campus.
• Conduct proactive patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify safety hazards, enforce access control policies, and deter unauthorized activity.
• Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, fire/life safety panels, and radios.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, incidents, and alarms—serving as first responder and liaison to internal and external responders.
• Maintain security logs, incident reports, and documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
• Assist in issuing, managing, and retrieving temporary badges, keys, and visitor credentials.
• Support the implementation of emergency preparedness plans and lead drills or exercises as directed.
• Provide concierge-style customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors—delivering a secure and welcoming experience.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to support special events, VIP visits, and operational projects.
• Participate in departmental projects, audits, and process improvement efforts as assigned.
• Attend regular team briefings, training, and compliance sessions to stay current with security protocols and procedures.
