As a Security Officer - Retail Day Shift Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will assist guests and staff with clear communication, observe for unusual activity, and document key details to support the team. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and common areas, including perimeter checks, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.Monitor entrances, sales floor activity, and loading or receiving areas; observe and report suspicious behavior and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including verbal de-escalation, requesting additional resources, and coordinating with local law enforcement when appropriate.Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, communicate key updates during post briefings, and maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, tenants, and/or visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

Have a minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience.X-Ray screening experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
