Retail Security Officer - Peabody, MA

 

Schedule: Must have weekend availability, evening hours. Full-Time & Part-Time shifts available

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Location: Retail environment in Peabody, MA

 

We are seeking a vigilant, customer-service-oriented Retail Security Officer to join our team at a retail location in Peabody, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of customers, staff, and merchandise, while maintaining a visible and professional presence.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Maintain a strong security presence throughout the mall to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity

Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems

Conduct routine patrols of mall premises, including hallways, stockrooms, and parking areas

Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances

Work closely with store management and law enforcement when necessary

Document incidents and complete accurate, timely reports

Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor

Support loss prevention strategies and report suspicious behavior

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Prior security or loss prevention experience preferred (retail experience a plus)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Strong observational and decision-making skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical patrols
