Security Officer - Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Grandville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist guests and store teams with friendly customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to issues with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail common areas, service corridors, loading areas, and exterior perimeter, including parking areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or hazard concerns for reporting.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, and fire or alarm activations, escalating to site leadership and public responders as needed.Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, including using CCTV and/or other monitoring systems when assigned, and provide directions and assistance to visitors and employees.Document routine and unusual activity by completing patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and report policy violations, property damage, or operational issues to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
