As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a residential community, you will drive between assigned areas, complete routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to resident questions with professional customer service and clear communication. You will document observations and escalate concerns as needed, supporting a caring, people-first culture. Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access concerns.Control access through observation and verification of resident and visitor credentials, follow visitor management procedures, and direct deliveries to appropriate locations per post orders.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, noise complaints, suspected trespassing, and medical calls, and request assistance from emergency services when appropriate.Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to property staff and Allied Universal supervision.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Having a Guard Card and/or license is preferred.Having customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
