As a Security Officer - Patrol Specialist in Pensacola, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government juvenile justice location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns with calm professionalism, and deliver strong customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Provide customer service to clients and staff at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public services as directed by post orders.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance or policy concerns and report findings.Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor processing and assist with contraband prevention measures per site procedures.Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports and shift pass-downs, and communicate via radio and/or phone with site personnel as needed.Minimum Requirements:
Have a minimum of 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.CPR certification is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
