Security Officer Lead

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors.

Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Provides leadership for Security ServicesEnsures delivery of quality services; regulatory compliance, and manages operations efficiently and effectively.Assist with oversight of the campus security and parking enforcementPlans, organizes and directs work assignments. Assists with training of security staff.Ensures that all Security Officers assigned to the shift meet program standards, including uniform and grooming standardsAssists with the implementation and maintenance of security procedures to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Job Requirements

Required

High School Graduate or equivalent; and Six (6) months experience as security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, , upon hire orPrior law enforcement or military service experience; orDriver's License: NE, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days


Preferred

One year experience as a security officer:(International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) Basic & Advanced courses within 90 days of position appointment.)Where You'll Work
