Summary:
The Lead- Security Officer assists the Security Supervisor in overseeing the Security program for his/her assigned Member Organization(s), as well as other duties assigned. The Security Lead is part of the working rotation of Security Officers who monitor, manage, prevent, and respond to incidents as they emerge.
Responsibilities:
+ Oversees security officers at the direction of the Manager of Security, both employed and contracted.
+ Functions as a working Security Officer while on duty. Monitors the healthcare environment to prevent and respond to incidents as they emerge.
+ Serves as liaison between assigned Member Organization Security Services and Regional Law Enforcement Agencies.
+ Promotes staff to follow the NLH Code of Conduct and established security policies and procedures.
+ Receives and responds in a friendly and helpful manner (telephone, emails, and personal contact).
+ Deals tactfully with people relative to job performance beyond giving and receiving instructions.
+ Oversees Security Software Program, i.e., Video Surveillance, access control, Computer Aided Dispatch, and Report Management Software.
+ Ensures proper documentation is recorded within event tracking software for all security events.
+ Coordinates with Security Program Leaders to ensure proper utilization of all staff, and quality of reporting.
+ Coordinates/schedules educational programs, meetings/conferences, etc. as well as daily work programs.
+ Attends meetings, conferences, and educational opportunities as necessary.
+ Sets example by maintaining professional and dignified behavior and speech, supporting guest relations, and upholding Standards of Behavior and excellent service.
+ Exhibits strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
+ Exercises initiative and judgment and comprehends a wide range of technical subjects.
+ Organizes and prioritizes work and meets deadlines.
+ Participates in the Performance Improvement Program as necessary.
+ Follows established methods and procedures (oral and written instructions).
