As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, students, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and quick reporting of concerns. Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.Control access at designated entry points by greeting visitors, confirming authorization, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests to appropriate locations per site procedures.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, disruptive behavior, medical calls, and facility alarms, and coordinate with site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and radios, and report irregularities according to post orders.Complete detailed activity and incident reports, including accurate times, locations, involved parties, and actions taken, using required reporting tools.Provide walking escorts for staff and/or students when requested and consistent with site guidelines.Support school events by monitoring crowd flow, maintaining orderly lines at entrances, and assisting with access control and parking direction as assigned.Perform rounds to check doors, gates, and restricted areas, reporting unsecured entries, damaged property, and maintenance issues through established channels.Communicate clearly and professionally with site contacts, coworkers, and visitors, escalating concerns through the chain of command as needed.Minimum Requirements:
