Security Officer Dispatcher

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Security Officer-Dispatcher contributes to the Core Values of CHI Health by providing each of the officers with concise, accurate and timely information necessary for the officers at the campuses to perform their duties safely and professionally.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Answers calls for security services for all CHI Health hospitals, clinics and support buildings in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area.Monitors alarms and activates a response for all CHI Health hospitals and some clinics and support buildings in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area.Operates audio/visual monitoring systems and access control systems, then dispatches officers accordingly.Performs timely communication with all members of the security, nursing leadership to assist with successful and efficient decision making within the organization. Keeps Security leaders informed of relevant events.Responsible for all spects of the Security department communications, including alarms, pages and requests for assistance.Assumes responsibility for person and professional growth through participation in department meetings, inservice programs and continuing education.
Job Requirements

Required

High School Graduate or GED upon hired, and


Preferred

3 years security, law enforcement or related experience, upon hire or1 year in a communications centerWhere You'll Work
