As a Security Officer in Plano, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a tech and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control as needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with agile, reliable service, clear communication, teamwork, innovation, and integrity while delivering a great customer experience.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a technology, media, and/or telecommunications location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the established chain of communication.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.Control access to the property by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification where required, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.Monitor CCTV, access control systems, intercoms, and/or other security-related systems as assigned, and report irregularities per post orders.Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, noting observations, actions taken, and follow-up needs.Provide assistance during emergency situations such as medical events, fires, severe weather, and/or evacuations, including coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.Communicate with Allied Universal supervision, site management, and/or emergency responders using radios, phones, and/or email to share timely updates and request support when needed.Support a professional workplace environment by addressing questions, providing directions, and promoting compliance with site rules while maintaining a courteous demeanor.Participate in required trainings, briefings, and post order updates, and follow all applicable procedures for confidentiality and handling of sensitive information.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.A guard card and/or license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
