As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will control access, assist team members and visitors with clear communication, and document observations accurately. Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.Respond to alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance when needed.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas and the perimeter, including monitoring ATM and cash handling areas, checking doors and access points, and documenting irregularities.Monitor access control and visitor management processes, verify identification and authorization where required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.Complete thorough incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and follow Allied Universal post orders, licensing requirements, and firearm handling protocols.Minimum Requirements:
Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security experience or a college degree.Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.Be at least 21+ years of age.An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
