As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card and/or License. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to government facility staff and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct armed patrols on foot and/or by vehicle throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working conditions varying by location.Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for employees, vendors, and the public, including screening, verifying identification, and/or issuing visitor credentials as required by post orders.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and local public agencies as needed.Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and patrol activities, and communicate observations and/or concerns to supervisors and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
