As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence and proactive approach will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sitesSupport operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and educationReceive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teamsDeliver consistent, professional security presence and customer serviceBe ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility and its perimeter, both inside and outside, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, checking credentials as required by site policies.Interact with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related concerns.Support Allied Universal in fostering a welcoming and secure environment for all individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
