As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Elite in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure transit environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and delivering outstanding customer service and communication to those you encounter. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the location.Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned area and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required by the site, using discretion and professionalism in all interactions.Write detailed incident reports and document observations, activities, and/or unusual occurrences as required.Assist with crowd management and/or direct individuals as needed to maintain orderly conduct within the location.Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies.Operate communication devices and security-related technology to maintain contact with Allied Universal management and other personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
