As a Security Officer - Access Control Transportation in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent transportation location, you will be responsible for access control, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. You will maintain a visible presence, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. What You’ll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sitesSupport operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and educationReceive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teamsDeliver consistent, professional security presence and customer serviceBe ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas at the location.Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and manage flow of personnel and visitors.Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related policies and responding to inquiries from guests, staff, and/or the public.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.Assist in emergency response activities as needed, including evacuations, medical incidents, or other urgent events.Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity, security-related risks, or hazards.Document observations, incidents, and/or issues in daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.Customer service-related experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
