As a Security Officer - Access Control Retail in Pittston, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a key role in access control and security-related functions at a large distribution center in the retail environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and helping to deter incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors, employees, and contractors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting, in alignment with site protocols.Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activity within the location.Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and use problem-solving skills to address the situation.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter of the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.Collaborate with site personnel and other Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
