As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Gadsden, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production environment.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols relevant to the location.Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and client representatives as needed to address site-specific concerns.Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.Remain alert and attentive during patrols and while on post, adapting to changing working environments and conditions as required by the location.Minimum Requirements:
Access control or badge experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.A guard card or license is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
