Float Security Officer – High-Rise Facility

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activitiesRespond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving mannerConduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.Flexible – Must be available for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysWe are seeking a highly professional, reliable, and polished Float Officer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service. This is a high-visibility position in a prestigious 72-story high-rise building that demands excellence, discipline, and a strong commitment to safety. Veterans and former military personnel are strongly encouraged to apply.Enforce access control procedures and monitor security systemsRespond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergenciesConduct regular foot patrols and building inspectionsProvide exceptional customer service to tenants and guestsMaintain detailed and accurate daily reports and incident documentationCollaborate with site management and emergency responders as needed

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed rolesPossess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experienceAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions onlyMinimum 3 years of professional experience in security, military, or law enforcementValid State of Texas Level II security licenseExcellent communication, observation, and reporting skillsProficiency with computer systems and security-related softwareMust maintain a professional, clean-cut appearancePhysically able to stand or patrol for extended periodsFlexible availability – including overnights, weekends, and holidaysExperience in a corporate or high-rise environmentCPR/First Aid certificationFamiliarity with access control systems and surveillance technologyThis is a great opportunity for experienced professionals who take pride in their work and appearance.
