Security Officer – Bristol (Full-Time, DV Clearance Required)

Location: Bristol (with occasional support in Gloucester)

About the Role

Join our dedicated security team in Bristol and play a vital role in safeguarding our site, protecting assets, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors. This is a shift-based position, and you may occasionally support operations at our Gloucester site (transport provided or costs reimbursed).

Please note: DV clearance is essential for this role. Candidates must be UK citizens with at least 10 years of UK work history. Clearance can take up to 12 months to complete before employment begins

Key Responsibilities

Control site access, permitting only authorised personnel Monitor activity via Access Control Systems and CCTV Conduct internal and external patrols Perform daily checks on alarm systems and respond to alerts Escalate issues to the MDL Service Desk as required Carry out random entry and exit searches Detect and deter unauthorised access or suspicious activity Handle suspect packages in line with procedures Provide cover for colleagues and support team flexibility Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by management

What We're Looking For

Previous security experience helpful but not essential Valid SIA Licence and CCTV training Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach IT literate and comfortable using security systems Flexible, reliable, and proactive team player
