This position provides an excellent opportunity to use your skills to support a healthcare system paving the way in life-changing treatment. **A caregiver in this position works evenings, from 2:00pm-10:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats. + Deter vandalism, theft and property abuse through routine patrols of all hospital property, including inside areas, parking lots and desks. + Protect patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts and eliminating safety hazards. + Enforce Cleveland Clinic facility policies (e.g., parking regulations, visitation policies, drug enforcement, tobacco free/smoking policy). + Facilitate planned drills and simulations. + Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises. + Complete metal detection protocols for all Emergency Department (ED) visists. + Search all bags, backpacks, briefcases, knapsacks, purses or parcels, wand all new admissions and log activity for all Emergency Department (ED) visits. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma/GED + Valid Driver's License (VDL) and eligibility of insurability to operate organization vehicles + X-2 Taser Training Certification within one year of hire + One year of related experience in criminal justice, private/public/military security and/or related law enforcement fields Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Completion of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
