The Department of Human Services is seeking a dependable Security Officer 2 to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will provide supervisory security work while overseeing security operations at the South Mountain Restoration Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people and property at the center by overseeing the training, guiding, and mentoring of lower-level security officers. Your duties will include managing the activities of residents, employees, and the public in line with established regulations. You will ensure the accurate and efficient operation of the agency's communication center. Other responsibilities include patrolling the facility grounds, buildings, and nearby roadways, either by vehicle or on foot, to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Additionally, you will handle various communication tasks, including operating the switchboard and monitoring emergency systems such as fire alarms and county emergency notifications. You will also maintain the key control log, monitor security systems, and operate paging systems, base radios, and other related equipment. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment, 40 hours per week + Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with rotating days off.
