As a Security Manager within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished leader to oversee multiple critical functions within the Workforce Identity & Access Management (WIAM) Program. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership across controls, testing, centralized certification, program communications, process automation, and metrics & analytics. The IAM Program Leader will serve as the primary liaison with internal and external audit professionals, drive remediation of audit issues, and ensure alignment with enterprise risk and compliance standards. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with deep knowledge of identity and access management, process improvement, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Direct and manage multiple functional teams, including Audit Issue Identification and Remediation, Controls & Testing Coordination, Centralized User Access Certification, Program Communications, Process Automation, and Metrics & Analytics.
• Audit & Risk Management: Serve as liaison to Internal Audit, Enterprise Testing Services (ETS), and external audit partners; coordinate audit inquiries, oversee evidence management, and drive remediation of identified issues.
• Program Communications: Lead a communications resource responsible for developing and executing targeted communication plans related to program updates, new projects, and actions required by stakeholders.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Lead a process improvement team focused on identifying automation opportunities, tracking efficiencies, and implementing tooling solutions that strengthen program operations.
• Documentation & Training Resources: Oversee the creation and maintenance of internal SOPs, job aids, quick reference guides, and handouts to support consistency and knowledge sharing across the program.
• Certification Oversight: Lead the certification team responsible for executing quarterly and annual user access certification and validation campaigns; ensure alignment with privileged access management requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Metrics & Analytics: Direct a team of analytics professionals in developing, maintaining, and reporting metrics that monitor IAM program performance, drive accountability, and inform executive-level decision making.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively and persuasively with all levels of leadership, ensuring clarity and transparency in reporting, risk discussions, and program updates.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in information security, risk management, business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams and functional areas within Identity & Access Management, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Workforce Identity & Access Management (WIAM) concepts, user access certifications, privileged access management, and risks associated with IAM programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at the executive level.
• Superior organizational and time management skills, with experience balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and automation initiatives.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online, Confluence, and Jira.
• Experience with program metrics development, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Prior experience working with internal/external audit partners and enterprise testing functions.

+ Monitors trends and continuously assesses staff/security system capabilities to meet business demands.
+ Leads in policy development, audit mitigation, and other tasks related to securing and maintaining the operational health of the infrastructure. Evaluates security systems, teams and processes to provide recommendations to maintain continuity and operational health.
+ Documents and revises procedures and playbooks for teams, processes and technology to provide a standard security practice and increase team effectiveness.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

**Pay Transparency**
Base Salary: $80,000.00 – $198,375.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
