Security Investigator

Position Title:  Security Investigator

Location: Nevada, California, Arizona, USA

Salary: $95,000

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and Life insurance; 10 days’ vacation accrued, 4 prorated floating holidays, and 6 sick days

 

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for conducting investigations and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures across the region. The successful candidate will be liaising with stakeholders, and handling investigations related to theft, workplace civility, insider threats, policy violations, and security risks. This position may require periodic travel within North America.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigations & Risk Management:

Conduct and oversee investigations into workplace civility, insider threats, policy violations, and security risks.Maintain investigation files, notes, and databases while tracking security trends.Aid in managing the case management system.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including security service providers and global security leadership.Conduct behavioral and physical security assessments and support business resiliency efforts.Ensure all incidents are reported in compliance with client policies and procedures.

Conducts all types of investigations globally 

Flexibility to work hours to respond to urgent issues and the situational needs and requirements of the workload.

Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality.Work both independently and with other investigators on initiatives for security and investigative enhancements and process improvements.

Liaisons with external industry resources, federal, state and local law enforcement (e.g. military, first responders, federal agencies, professional associations and industry peers)

Other duties as assigned

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance:

Act as a liaison with branch managers, mobile teams, and security service providers.Support emergency response coordination and maintain communication with security services.Provide support for security-related events within the region.Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements within the responsible region.Ensure staff training, development, and knowledge of security systems, tools, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

Legal right to work in the responsible region.Ability to obtain any required security licensing for the region.The ability to travel on short notice.Full 5-year checkable work history.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.Minimum of 10 years' experience in an investigative capacity in industrial security or law enforcement.Strong understanding of industry-specific legislation and compliance requirements.Extensive experience in conducting investigations and understanding behavioral aspects of security threats.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

First Aid at Work certification.Customer service training.Health and safety training.Experience with social media investigations.
