As a Security Guard - Shelter Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling the shelter location. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, and you will engage with staff and residents to provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of individuals at the location.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.Interact professionally with residents, staff, and visitors, providing assistance and guidance as needed within the shelter environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof as required by the client.Customer service experience is preferred.CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
